Corneal Transplant
ABOUT
A corneal transplant, or keratoplasty, restores vision by replacing damaged or diseased corneal tissue with healthy donor tissue. This procedure is commonly performed for conditions like keratoconus, corneal scarring, or Fuchs' dystrophy, which impair the cornea’s ability to focus light properly.
Advanced surgical techniques, including partial-thickness and full-thickness transplants, are used to achieve the best possible outcomes. By restoring corneal clarity and function, a corneal transplant can dramatically improve vision and provide relief from discomfort, allowing patients to regain their independence and confidence.
